WHAT began as a simple landlord-tenant agreement in Chelstone has now ended up in court, with a 60-year-old landlord claiming that his tenant spends money on expensive wine and alcohol, feeds his family well on meat and chicken, but fails to pay rent. In his defence, tenant Frank Chibolinga, who lives in the same yard as his landlord, said that how he spends his salary is none of his landlord’s concern. This is a matter in which Fredrick Ngoma, 60, of Chelstone has taken his tenant, Chibolinga, 40, also of the same area, to court for failing to pay K6,000 in rent.
