A COURT session briefly turned dramatic when Amos Phiri, while in the dock, kept glancing at his ex-wife and insisted she was still his wife despite their divorce, telling the court, “Your Honour, mukashi wandi uyu, I never divorced her, she did”. This prompted Magistrate Elizabeth Zulu, of the Chelstone Local Court, to ask the woman who was “driving Phiri crazy” and causing him to lose focus to stand so that the court could see her.
