THE United Nations in Zambia says it has not congratulated any presidential candidate, following the August 13 general election. Yesterday, social media reports on Facebook pages including “The Candidates and Chair the Voice of Zambia claimed that: “the United Nations, the European Union have visited President elect Brian Mundubile. Extra protection has been offered”. But in a statement, Friday, UN Resident Coordinator Beatrice Mutali said the UN had not deployed election observers.
