LUSAKA High Court Judge Derrick Mulenga has ordered the State to present Brian Mundubile and 17 others before court today, failure to which the officer in charge of the prison must appear in court to explain their absence. This is in a matter in which Mundubile Makebi Zulu and 17 others have applied for constitutional bail before the High Court, arguing that their continued detention without trial on treason and other charges violates their constitutional rights. The 18 petitioners, who are currently detained at Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility, include Mundubile, George Chisanga, Patrick Mwansa, Trevor Mwamba, Francis Mulenga, Brazil Soko, Jackson Mutyoka, Bernard Chewe, Richard Banda and Emmanuel Mulenga.
