FDD spokesperson Antonio Mwanza says Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Patrick Matibini is putting his integrity to test through his conduct and rulings in the House.

Last week Speaker Matibini chastised Mazabuka UPND member of parliament Garry Nkombo after he said the PF was corrupt.

Reacting to the matter, Mwanza said the Speaker handled the matter in a bias manner.

“The Speaker must be aware that it is not his duty to shield the Executive from questions, rather his role is to allow MPs to freely debate and question Government on all of its dealings,” said Mwanza.
