ZAMBIA Statistics Agency (ZSA) Interim Statistician General Mulenga Musepa says in order for the cost of living to reduce, something else needs to happen such as decent incomes for individuals. Speaking during the Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) public forum, Friday, Musepa said even if the inflation rate was at zero percent, the cost of living would still remain high, but the increase would just be at a lower rate. “There is this thing of [saying] ‘why are we saying inflation is slowing down and yet the cost of living is high?’ The cost of living is given, okay, it’s basically given.
