The Lusaka High Court will on August 14 set dates for trial in UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema’s treason case.
One of HH’s lawyers Keith Mweemba confirmed this to News Diggers! in an interview.
“Yes, we got something from the High Court, cause list says the session will begin on 14th August. So that is when the trial dates will be set. The accused have to be present because trial can begin the same day or the next day,” said Mweemba.
The case has been allocated to Ndola High Court judge Charles Chanda who will sit in Lusaka on August 14.
HH and his five co-accused have been in prison for over 100 days now.
