An arresting officer this morning almost fainted when he was called to the witness stand to testify against murder convict Precious Longwe.
This is in a matter in which Longwe is accused of stealing K200,000 from her former employer, BancABC.
When the case came up before Lusaka magistrate Nthandose Chabala today,Sunday Bwalya, who is a chief inspector at Ngwerere Police Station, fell ill immediately he begun to testify forcing the state to adjourn the matter.
When he took the witness stand, he appeared dizzy, almost fainting and he had to be aided out of the courtroom by a prosecutor.
In April, High Court Judge Sharon Newa convicted and sentenced Longwe to death for the murder of her husband Akakanda Litebele.
