PF acting president Given Lubinda has pleaded not guilty to four counts of being in possession of property reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime. Lubinda, who is former Kabwata PF member of parliament, took plea before Lusaka magistrate Sanford Ngobola yesterday after the charges were read out to him. Magistrate Ngobola entered pleas of not guilty in all the four counts and adjourned the matter to July 11, 2022, for commencement of trial. Lubinda was accompanied to court by his wife and other officials. In count one, it is alleged that Lubinda on March 3, 2018, in Lusaka, received US$ 50,000 from China Africa Cotton Limited, property reasonably suspected of being a proceed of crime.
