TRANSPORT and Logistics Minister Frank Tayali has notified the Lusaka High Court that he intends to apply for a judgement in default of appearance and defence against the state in his suit. This is the matter in which Tayali sued the State demanding damages for aggravated assault following an incident which occured in 2020. Tayali stated that he was physically assaulted by an “overzealous” police officer who pointed an AK 47 rifle at his head when he accompanied President Hakainde Hichilema, as UPND president then, for questioning.
