THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has warned that action will be taken against Lumezi Independent MP Munir Zulu and his surety Emmanuel Jay Jay Banda if it is established that the surety’s report that the accused missed a court hearing due to floods in his constituency was incorrect. Lusaka Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili issued the warning after Banda requested for an adjournment of the matter in which Zulu is charged with three counts of libel on grounds that the accused had failed to travel back to Lusaka due to floods in his constituency.
