A KAFUE couple has sued the State in the Lusaka High Court, seeking damages for medical and professional negligence for the loss of their newborn baby. Mubanga Chileshe Chulu and Stephen Chulu want damages for the loss of life of their newborn baby, mental anguish, trauma and physical pain due to the prolonged labour, among others. In a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court Principal Registry, Mubanga Chulu stated that she was due to give birth and was admitted to Kafue General Hospital on July 31, 2023.
