DIAMOND TV has asked the Lusaka High Court to enter a default judgement against socialite Mutale Mwanza in a case in which it is seeking damages for libel after she charged that its flagship annual event, the Personality of the Year Awards (POTYAS), is fraudulent and it’s hosted by “whores”. Diamond TV, trading as Mobitel Limited, wants the court to enter a default judgement due to Mwanza’s failure to enter an appearance or file a defence in the matter. In this matter, the television station wants a declaration that the statements attributed to Mwanza are libellous.
