LUSAKA Principal Resident Magistrate Sylvia Munyinya has found a 27-year-old man with a case to answer in a matter where he is accused of impersonating former Local Government and Rural Development minister Gary Nkombo. In this matter, Simon Mwalubulo is facing one count of identity-related crimes, contrary to Section 53 of the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act No. 2 of 2021 of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence are that Mwalubulo, knowingly and without lawful excuse used Nkombo’s personal identification to create a Facebook page account between September 1, 2024, and October 31, 2024, in Lusaka.
