THE Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has convicted Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Kasonde Mwenda and 13 others for unlawful assembly, sentencing them to three months’ simple imprisonment. However, Magistrate Amy Masoja Chilangwa suspended the entire sentence. Magistrate Chilangwa also acquitted Mwenda on a separate charge of escaping from lawful custody.
