Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda has dropped enterprising midfielder Chisamba Lungu from the national team squad that will play against Cameroon in the ‘formality 2018 FIFA World Cup Group B qualifier.
Zambia will host Cameroon on November 11 in a battle to finish a respectable second in Group B at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola
The midfielder from Turkish side Alanyspor has been dropped after some lacklustre displays against Nigeria and Algeria over the last two months.
Chisamba has also see very little action with Alanyspor where he has played three games since moving from Russian club FC Ural in August.
But Nyirenda has summoned three injured players for the match who include striker Patson Daka of RB Salzburg in Austria and midfielder Emmanuel Banda of Belgium side KV Oostende.
Both remain sidelined with injuries incurred prior to the October 7 away Group B qualifier against Nigeria that Zambia lost 1-0.
Also in the team is Nkana benchwarmer and junior international defender Boston Muchindu who is carrying an injury.
But there is no place for his club mate and John Mwengani who has been outstanding form for Nkana, and instead another benchwarmer at the club, Moses Nyondo, has made the team.
And Nyirenda has recalled South African-based striker Lewis Macha of Baroka FC who has scored two goals from the five matches he has played for the early pacesetters.
Zambia has 7 points, one ahead of Cameroon heading into their final Group B match, after the two teams drew 1-1 in Limbe on November 12, 2016.
Nigeria has already qualified for the Russia finals on an unassailable 13 points.
Zambia will enter camp in Ndola on November 5 to prepare for the match.
