THE impact of investments and development in sports infrastructure is enormous and also long-term, but it is worth approaching their benefits from different points of view. Zambia’s poor state of sports infrastructure has long been a concern for many sports lovers. The lack of modern stadia and world-standard running tracks has been blamed for the poor showing of most Zambian athletes at international competitions. Lack of maintenance and vandalism are some factors leading to the deterioration of sports infrastructure.
