A 3rd year Law student at the University of Lusaka (UNILUS) identified as Mwinji Soko has died in a road traffic accident.
Soko died on Saturday in an accident after her male friend Lupiya Simusokwe of Corpus Legal practitioners took her out for a weekend.
A source told News Diggers! that Simusokwa picked the student on Friday and the two were involved in an accident in Saturday morning along Thabo Mbeki Road in Lusaka.
And UNILUS, which confirmed the death on its official Facebook page, also sent its message of condolences to the friends and family of Soko.
“We would like to pass our heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Mwinji Soko who was a 3rd year Law student at UNILUS,” Management wrote.
And a students group called Unilus Democrats posted: “May your soul find eternal peace and rest Mwinji. And May God grant you family strength and courage in this difficult time. Words cannot can’t express how saddened we are that tragedy should cut your young and vibrant life so short, but we’ll be eternally grateful that you shared it with us.”
And when contacted, Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Nelson Phiri said he had not received the report by press time.
