COUNCIL of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) general secretary Fr Emmanuel Chikoya has commended President Hakainde Hichilema and former president Edgar Lungu for interacting with each other during Sikota Wina’s funeral service, saying its something to treasure. And Fr Chikoya says public holidays like Independence and Heroes’ Day should be considered as national events as opposed to being a praise-singing platform for the ruling party. In an interview, Fr Chikoya said President Hichilema and Lungu would attract less unnecessary drama if they continued to deliberately meet.
