ANTI-Corruption Commission (ACC) Head of Corporate Communication Timothy Moono says the commission is investigating allegations of abuse of office at the Ministry of Finance. Transparency International conducted an investigation last year which established a cartel at Ministry of Finance that siphoned huge amounts of money between 2019 and 2021 using fictitious events to draw allowances. Moono confirmed in a statement that the commission was investigating Ministry of Finance officials for suspected abuse of public funds. “Following media queries, I wish confirm that the Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating allegations of abuse of office at the Ministry of Finance.
