HEALTH Minister Sylvia Masebo says the country has not recorded any new Cholera deaths. And Masebo has disclosed that the ministry will assume the Polio campaign on 16th February 2023 in the Copperbelt, Luapula, Central and North-Western provinces. In a statement, Wednesday, Masebo revealed that the cumulative incidences of Cholera in the current outbreak stands at 135 with three deaths. “Cholera continues to be the elephant in the room with regards to public health events affecting our country. In addition to Vubwi, Chipata, and Mwansabombwe; Nchelenge and Chipangali become the 4th and 5th districts in the country affected by Cholera, respectively.
