THE U.S. Embassy says it has advocated for tangible action to counter deep seated corruption in Zambia for many years and its statement of April 16 followed that pattern. And the US Embassy says its statement on the immediate past leadership of the Zambia Police Service was not aimed at disparaging them. In a statement last week, the Embassy welcomed the appointment of a new Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba after President Hakainde Hichilema fired Lemmy Kajoba.
