GOVERNMENT has announced that President Hakainde Hichilema has embarked on an official visit to Ukraine and the Russian Federation, where he is expected to meet with the two countries’ leaders. In a statement, Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Stanley Kakubo said the meetings were part of the African Peace Initiative focused on addressing the situation between Russia and Ukraine. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation wishes to inform the Nation that Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, will on Wednesday, 14th June, 2023, embark on an official visit to Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
