POLICE have arrested five University of Zambia students and five other persons in connection with the riot that took place at the institution on Monday evening. And Munali UPND Member of Parliament Mike Mposha claims that the riot in question was sponsored by the opposition. Meanwhile, outgoing UNZASU president Chandra Chongo says students should not be used by politicians as tools of violence. Angry UNZA students on Monday evening rioted against the cancellation of UNZASU elections. The riot which started at around 21:00 hours saw students blocking the Great East Road and stoning unlucky motorists.
