POLICE have picked up 18 people in Luanshya’s Mpatamatu Township who were found with suspected copper ore at their houses. In a statement, Sunday, Copperbelt Police Commissioner Peacewell Mweemba said this was during an operation conducted by the Police in that area on Saturday. “Kindly be informed that Mpatamatu Police Station is in receipt of a case of Compounding a felony OB number 8698/23 [which] occurred on 29th September, 2023 between 15:00 hours and 18:00 hours within Mpatamatu area of operation.
