ATTORNEY General Mulilo Kabesha says individuals who are against the appointment of Ron Mwambwa as Auditor General should wait for the ratification process before the National Assembly to argue their case. Last week, PF members of parliament held a media briefing where they opposed the appointment of Mwambwa as Auditor General, arguing that he didn’t qualify as he was above the age provided for in the Constitution. The opposition MPs argued that the appointment of Mwambwa, aged 64, was unconstitutional as Article 252 of the Constitution provides that the Auditor General shall retire from office on attaining the age of 60 years.
