PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema yesterday visited Maureen Mwanawasa’s family funeral home to console her family, describing her death as shocking. And President Hichilema has refuted some social media suggestions that government had neglected Maureen. Speaking to journalists shortly after signing the book of condolences, President Hichilema said Maureen’s illness deteriorated so quickly, shocking a lot of people, including himself. “We offer our sincere condolences to the Mwanawasa and Kakubo families.
