LESS than a week after a KCM employee died in a mine accident, the company has announced a second fatality involving a dump truck driver who lost his life on Monday afternoon at the Nchanga mine. The mining company says in view of the two unfortunate fatalities, it will shut down some operations in mining and processing plants in Chingola, Chililabombwe, Nampundwe and Kitwe for specified periods to conduct thorough reviews of safety procedures.
