LUAPULA Province Minister Njavwa Simutowe says some UPND members have protested the adoption of Nason Musonda as the candidate for the Kawambwa by-election, preferring the 2021 losing candidate, Wiza Sidanzi. Simutowe has, however, urged the party members to support Musonda, saying he is the secretariat’s choice. Recently, information emerged that some UPND members had opposed the party’s choice for the Kawambwa by-election, arguing that their previous candidate, Sidanzi, was more popular.
