THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court, High Court Division, has overturned the Kitwe Subordinate Court’s decision to acquit a taxpayer charged with the offense of tax evasion amounting to over K24 million. This is in a matter where the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) appealed against the acquittal of Liko’s Industries and Logistics Company Limited, on 32 counts of false returns and statements, and evasion of taxation.
