POLICE in Kalomo have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly raping a 64-year-old woman. Southern Province Deputy Police Commissioner Moono Namalongo said the incident occurred on January 11, 2025 at around 01:00 hours in Mukwela village, Kalomo District. “The Zambia Police Service, through Kalomo Police Station, on January 11, 2025 at 07:00 hours received a report of rape in which Reserve Sergeant Muntanga of Mukwela reported via a phone call to the effect that a 64 year old woman of Mukwela village in Kalomo District was raped by Gift Machunda aged 32, of the same village.
