A mob yesterday descended on Mununga police post and attacked police officers after learning of a suspect’s detention. In a statement, Tuesday, Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the mob forcibly removed the suspect and subjected him to severe mob violence, leaving him with deep cuts on the head. Hamoonga revealed that police officers had earlier arrested Derrick Mwale for allegedly killing his former wife. “We wish to inform the public of a tragic incident reported on January 13, 2025 at Mununga Police Post under Chienge Police Station.
