CHILUBI PF MP Mulenga Fube has called on the Law Association of Zambia to take interest in the leadership in the National Assembly, saying there are illegal office bearers. Last week, LAZ petitioned the Constitutional Court, seeking an order that Dr Ron Mwambwa immediately vacate the office of the Auditor General. The association argued that Dr Mwambwa’s appointment had not been ratified by the National Assembly as required by the law. LAZ also added that by virtue of being above the age of 60 years, the prescribed retirement age for the Auditor General, Dr Mwambwa was disqualified for appointment to that office.
