FORMER ACC board chairperson Musa Mwenye says there is a legal anomaly regarding the declaration of assets, as ministers are required to declare annually, but their supervisor, the President, is not legally mandated to do so. Mwenye has also cautioned lawyers against bribing court officials, stating that he has never in his life accepted a bribe. Meanwhile, former LAZ president Linda Kasonde notes that only five out of 45 leaders required to declare their assets, liabilities and sources of income under the Parliamentary and Ministerial Code of Conduct had fully complied at the last count.
