A TRUCK driver is on the run after allegedly stealing 30 tonnes of copper cathodes he was transporting from Ndola to Durban, South Africa. According to police, the matter was reported by Michael Chanda, 39, of Kafue Town, a driver for Jamaras Limited. Confirming the incident, Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Auxensio Daka said the incident occurred between Tuesday, May 27, and Wednesday, May 28, between Monze and Pemba Districts.
