KONKOLA Copper Mines (KCM) has confirmed a disturbing increase in unauthorised mining operations within Block ‘A’ of the Nchanga Open Pit in Chingola. KCM Chief Corporate Affairs Officer John Kunda says these activities are taking place directly above the Nchanga Underground Mine (NUG) and within areas covered by KCM’s valid mining and surface rights.
