MINISTER of Finance Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane says the youths in the country should be happy with the government’s decision to remove fuel subsidies because this will benefit them. The minister argues that the young people who don’t drive are the winners in this situation because the money that has been taken from subsidies will be allocated towards educating their siblings under the free education policy. This is an unnecessary statement in our view because it sounds insensitive and quite frankly at variance with the state of affairs in this country.
