IN Zambia, we stopped ruling out anybody who declares an ambition to rule our nation. We have had someone with an alcohol problem vying for the presidency, winning and recovering from addiction while in State House. We have seen a person who has never been elected even as a ward councillor before, with zero experience on how to run a political office being elected Republican president and learning about national governance while on the job.
