THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has approved Zesco’s request to increase electricity tariffs by 10 percent effective May 1, 2024. In a statement, Wednesday, ERB Board Chairperson Reynolds Bowa revealed that in April, 2023, the board approved Zesco’s multi-year tariffs for a five-year period from 2023 to 2027. “In April, 2023 the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) approved Zesco Limited’s multi-year tariffs for a five-year period from 2023 to 2027. While the 2023 retail tariffs were approved effective 1st May, 2023, the subsequent tariffs from 2024 to 2027 were conditionally approved subject to the ERB’s annual review.
