Paul Moonga is just a political decimal, he can speak to my branch chairman, says National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader Chishimba Kambwili.

And Kambwili says President Edgar Lungu is a known tribalist.

Commenting on Kambwili’s announcement last week that he would parade President Lungu for everyone to see after he arrested him for theft when NDC forms government, PF acting chairperson for Lusaka Province Paul Moonga said Kambwili was just a fat glutton with an extremely low caliber of intelligence.

But speaking to journalists at the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Kambwili said he could not sink so low as to respond to Moonga who was just a political nonentity.

“Aba Bemba batila ule lila tabamu cheba kukanwa (Bemba’s say a mourner’s mouth cannot be covered). I cannot waste my time, sink so low, to start having a discourse with Paul Moonga. Paul Moonga is a political decimal, a political nonentity so I cannot waste my time to answer him. Probably Paul Moonga can speak to my branch chairman, that’s his equal. Elo umuntu nga akweba ichintu, ngawayasuka ninshi nachikukalipa (when a person tells you something (bad) and you respond, it means it has hurt you),” Kambwili said.

And commenting on President Lungu’s remarks that one day, a Tonga would rule Zambia, but certainly not the current aspirant, the NDC leader charged that the Head of State was a known tribalist.

“Balya efyo baba balya. Bushe ba Lungu tamwabeshiba (That one is like that, don’t you know Lungu)? Lungu removed 69 Tongas and Lozi’s from State House and handed them over to Public Management Division for redeployment, that they were giving information to HH. It’s on record. So Lungu is a known tribalist, so I’m not even amused or surprised,” he said.

Asked whether such remarks by the Head of State can’t bring division in the country, Kambwili said “imwe naimwe balya niba Head of State? Tema jokes? Teluse lwa mfwa (You, is that even the Head of State? He is a Joke. It’s just the mercy of death).”

Meanwhile, the matter in which Kambwili is charged with forgery has been adjourned to August 12, this year, after it failed to take off before magistrate David Simusamba as the defence was not ready and court reporters were unavailable.

Kambwili also appeared in two other courts were he is charged with contempt of court and uttering racial remarks for mention and fixing of trial dates.
