THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday heard how a Matero woman, who is alleged to have been raped by John General, had a rift with her husband after he allegedly demanded K800,000 from the accused. The court also heard that the victim wrote to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Gilbert Phiri requesting to withdraw the matter. This is the matter in which Miracle Impact Ministries International overseer Pastor John Nundwe, alias John General, was dragged to court for allegedly raping a Matero woman. Particulars of the offence are that Nundwe, on November 22, 2023, in Lusaka, unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a Matero woman without her consent.
