MINISTER of Education Douglas Syakalima says there is still a deficit of about 100,000 teachers to meet the teacher-pupil ratio demand, with 80,000 trained teachers still awaiting employment. Syakalima also says government will continue engaging with unions to improve conditions of service and dismantle debts owed to both retirees and working teachers.
