DEFENCE Minister Ambrose Lufuma says government has engaged its Congolese counterparts to resolve the issues of unwarranted harassment of Zambian truck drivers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In a statement, Saturday, Lufuma said the government of the DRC would meet to discuss the matter from January 13 to 16 in Lubumbashi at a Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security (JPCDS). “The Zambian government takes these happenings very seriously and has therefore engaged our counterparts on the issue of unwarranted harassment of the Zambian Truck Drivers in order to find a lasting solution.
