BWEENGWA UPND MP Michelo Kasautu says about 600 households have been affected by severe floods that have destroyed maize fields and crops in his constituency. Over a thousand Bweengwa villagers are stranded after their houses were flooded, while their animals had been swept away by flood waters. In an interview, Thursday, Kasautu urged people to move from low land areas during this rainy season. “Today it’s showing some improvement but it’s terribly bad, yesterday it was worse.
