CHRISTIAN Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) says its parallel vote tabulations indicate that President Hakainde Hichilema won the August polls by over 50 percent, but it also recorded vote irregularities in 30 constituencies. CCMG also says voter turnout for the polls reduced from 70.6 percent in 2021 to 53.5 percent this year. Meanwhile, CCMG has called on the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to publish images of the GEN20 forms for all 13,529 polling stations in order to improve public confidence in the results of the just-ended polls.
