KANCHIBIYA UPND parliamentary losing candidate Sunday Chanda says he lost his seat to NRPUP candidate Muswema Sampa because he voted for Bill 7. Chanda, was among the PF MPs who voted for Bill 7, describing it as a progressive law for development. He later defected to the UPND, and was subsequently adopted as the ruling party candidate for Kanchibiya Constituency in the just ended general elections.
