THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) says a digital lab run by 79 cybercrime suspects who have been arrested was targeting government systems, including that of the Electoral Commission of Zambia. DEC Public Relations Officer Allan Tamba says the activities conducted by the suspects were aimed at undermining national security. On Monday, a Joint Security Taskforce in Lusaka apprehended 79 people at Evana Estates in New Kasama, following a tip-off from the public that they were conducting suspicious activities.
