GOVERNMENT has disclosed that it has selected eight companies for the supply of 120,000 metric tonnes of urea fertiliser for the 2023/4 farming season. Ministry of Agriculture permanent secretary Green Mbozi could not, however, share the names of the selected companies by press time, saying that government was still finalising “one or two things”. In a Facebook post last week, PF Information and Publicity Chairperson Emmanuel Mwamba said government had picked eight companies for the delivery, warehousing and distribution of urea fertiliser under direct bidding procurement method. Mwamba named the selected companies as Bestmed Services Limited, Agrizam Investments Limited, Agrotrade Exchange Limited, Greenfield Commodities Limited, Kovenant Procure Zambia Limited, ETG Inputs Zambia Limited, Alpha Commodities Limited and Portland Commodities Limited....
