WATER Development and Sanitation Minister Collins Nzovu says the commissioning and connection of a 220kW Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Plant in Kazungula District will reduce reliance on the national grid. In a statement, Friday, Nzovu stated that the PV Solar Plant was a critical component of the Kazungula Water Supply and Basic Sanitation Project, funded by government with support from the Federal Republic of Germany. “The Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation is pleased to announce the successful commissioning and connection of a 220kW Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Plant in Kazungula District, Southern Province, to the national grid under the Net Metering framework.
