The Law Association of Zambia has stopped Lusaka lawyer Nicholas Chanda from practicing Law with immediate effect.

According to a notice signed by the Legal Practitioners’ Committee secretary Silas Mambwe, Chanda has been instructed not to appear in any court of law or tribunal because his license has been suspended.

Chanda of Messrs Nicholas Chanda & Associates has also been barred from filing court processes until further notice.

His notice of suspension has also been copied to the Chief Justice, her deputy, Supreme and High Court judges, the Attorney General, the Director of Public Prosecutions among others.

LAZ has also suspended Cheelo Mwiinga of Messrs MAK partners.
